OMI Creates Online Training for Retail Sales Associates

The Online Mastery & Incentive training initiative is designed to be an interactive and educational platform for retail sales associates. The training aims to teach associates the features, advantages and benefits of organic and natural sleep products to consumers.
The company created the program around short modules forces on who the organic and natural consumers are, what they are looking for, why the buy and product benefits. Accessible via an online portal, associates can view a new training module each week, answer daily questions and collect points, which can then be redeemed for prizes.
Rewards include OMI mattresses and accessories, vacations, electronics and jewelry from the company’s awards mall featuring more than 1,000 items.
“We recognize that the RSA plays a critical role in our company and wanted to develop a creative way to make selling organic and natural mattresses and accessories simple and straight forward. The OMI program is a fun, engaging, and rewarding opportunity where everyone wins,” said Kurt Ling, OMI CEO. “We believe that online training and reward programs create daily awareness for RSAs. It provides them with the most important information about our target customer and brand benefits so they can be confident in what they are selling and helps them sell better mattresses and more sleep accessories. We would rather pay RSA’s to learn a few minutes out of every day than do early morning Saturday or Sunday sales meetings where we buy them coffee, donuts and breakfast sandwiches. From the conversations we have had with most every sales associate, they prefer we do it this way as well.”
