Dunn-Edwards Revives Historical Colors in Paint Collection
February 25,
2015 by in Designer Weekly
Dunn-Edwards, a paint supplier, teamed up with Architectural Resources Group, an historic preservation architecture firm, to study 300 years of American West architecture and 700 colors before selecting 142 Southwestern hues.
"Designers and architects suggested that Dunn-Edwards take the lead in establishing a historic color collection for the Southwest, since we've been an influence for 85 years," said Sara McLean, color marketing manager at Dunn-Edwards Paints. "We were happy to answer that call and set off on the assignment quite meticulously."
All 142 historical colors will be integrated seamlessly into the new Perfect Palette display, color library, color album, fandeck and designer travel kit for easy selection on-the-go. To support the launch of the new collection, Dunn-Edwards will introduce a new array of digital tools, including InstaColor, a new mobile app, and ColorView, a color rendering tool that allows you to upload a picture of a room and paint it virtually.
