Ethan Allen Adds Matisse to Modern Art Offerings

Ethan Allen (NYSE: ETH) is building on its first foray into modern art by adding new works from famed artist Henri Matisse along with works from his great-granddaughter Sophie.
In June, the retailer introduced the Modern Masters Collection featuring art framed by hand, using acid-free materials and conservation-quality, UV-filtering glass.
Eight lithographs from Henri Matisse bring the number of his works in the Modern Masters Collection to 10. Each piece comes with a certificate of provenance, and prices range from $759 to $1,139.
Five works by Sophie Matisse have been added to the collection. The five are exclusive, limited-edition prints, silk-screened onto deckle-edge pure cotton rag paper handmade in England. Signed and numbered by the artist, each piece is mounted by hand in a black lacquer wood frame with a distressed silver fillet and an off-white archival mat. Measuring 33.75-inches wide by 30-inches high, the pieces retail for $1,999.
