Designer Creates Online Learning Center

Interior designer Tobi Fairley has created an online learning center to help teach other interior designers how to transform their businesses.

Tobi U opens Thursday, Jan. 15 and will offer courses on the business of design, including financials, branding, finding ideal clients, getting published, and how to raise fees. The courses are the best of Fairley’s tools and techniques to help restructure and rebuild design businesses for success.

As an interior designer with 15 years of experience and more than five years as a consultant and coach, Fairley knows her business, and she has helped other designers streamline processes, rev up the creative engine, learn how to charge what they’re worth and how to sell services.

“One of my passions is to empower others to cultivate their strengths and create inspired solutions for their own companies,” Fairley said. “Tobi U has been a dream of mine for years, to help interior designers transform their business with strategies that really work! I’ve been offering classes and coaching for over five years, but this is the first time that all of my courses and content will be available in one place.”

Tobi U students are able to move through the courses on their own schedule, a semester at a time, with eight modules included in each semester. The modules focus on a specific topic, and the content includes videos, webinars, podcasts, and downloadable PDFs. There will be a total of six semesters offered, allowing designers to work through the basics of running a business, right through to advanced ideas that Fairley uses in her own company.

Tobi U also includes a little fun to keep designers smiling and upbeat as they work through the courses. It’s a badge system that will reward them for finishing a module or semester, for achieving specific benchmarks, or even for just interacting with Fairley on social media or at an industry event.
