Ethan Allen Furnishes 2015 HGTV Dream Home
This marks the ninth consecutive year of partnership between Ethan Allen and HGTV's signature design showcase. The custom-built, approximately 3,200-square-foot vacation home is a one-story Cape Cod-style home featuring an open floor plan and generous views. The signature design showcase offered by HGTV presents a perfect platform for Ethan Allen's styles, most of which are still crafted in North American factories.
The shopping process began last June when HGTV Dream Home 2015 interior designer Linda Woodrum visited Ethan Allen's Connecticut headquarters to choose the furniture, window treatments, and accessories that her team would use in the project.
Designed by architect Patrick Ahearn, features dormer windows, twin chimneys, a cupola for light, white cedar shingles and shutters. The 23-foot vaulted great room centers the house while an entire wing is dedicated to the master suite.
The beachy vibe throughout is a perfect example of the more relaxed, informal direction Ethan Allen is taking with hundreds of new designs called The Next Classics.
"This is a great partnership for us," said Farooq Kathwari, Ethan Allen chairman, president and CEO. "The HGTV Dream Home 2015 is about bringing design dreams to life, and that is our mission as a brand as well."
