Magnussen Expanding High Point Show Space

Full-line furniture vendor Magnussen will expand its High Point showroom space in the IHFC building’s Main Wing, occupying the entire eighth floor and the majority of the ninth floor.

Magnussen, formerly on the 10th floor in IHFC, is taking over space formerly occupied by Thomasville and Drexel Heritage. The new, approximately 60,000-square-foot showroom space, will be unveiled at High Point Market in April 2015.

“To ensure we can evolve both strategically and aesthetically in displaying our product assortment the decision was made to discover opportunities that allows us to expand and grow the business.” said Nathan Cressman, president of Magnussen, New Hamburg, Ontario. “The benefits of the combined showroom in regard to layout, and ceiling height will allow us to visually expand our reach in telling our story.”

“Magnussen is an exceptional company and we are thrilled that they have made such a strong commitment to High Point Market,” said Julie Messner, vice president of leasing for home furnishings for International Market Centers. “The expansion makes sense for their business and aligns with what buyers are looking for in terms of breadth and depth of product offerings.”
