Customatic Adds Assembly Line

Adjustable bed base vendor Customatic Adjustable Bedz has installed a new assembly line in the mezzanine level of its 300,000-square-foot Taiwan manufacturing facility.

The new production line, which took approximately three months to construct, promotes growth for both Customatic Adjustable Bedz and its retailers through quality production and fast turnaround.

The assembly line features the latest advanced “Computerized Visual Scan” system, which facilitates efficiency as it identifies quality control issues, allowing for seamless production of its adjustable bed bases. The new addition has increased production by more than 15 percent. It also creates approximately 25 new production line jobs and provides the company’s elite group of employees, Quality Team members, the opportunities for growth and advancement.

“At Customatic, we have always been very mindful in our approach to expansion in an effort to meet and exceed our customer’s expectations,” said Natick, Mass.-based Customatic Adjustable Bedz Partner Phil Sherman. “The addition of the new assembly line is a direct response to our current customers’ needs, as they find more success in the category, while providing the opportunity for further business development and new relationships. Additions such as this assembly line allow us to maintain steady growth while introducing innovative features, ultimately keeping us on the forefront of the Adjustable Bed category.”

Founded in 2010 by industry veterans Phil McCarty and Phil Sherman, today the company distributes products internationally through strong partnerships with top-name mattress manufacturers, leading distributors and major specialty sleep retailers.
