NAHFA Hosts Annual Meeting at High Point Market
The meeting is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 19 at 7:30 a.m. in the NAHFA’s Retailer Resource Center on the first floor of Plaza Suites. All NAHFA members and media are invited; a continental breakfast will be served.
NAHFA’s president, Rick Howard of Sklar Furniture, Boca Raton, Fla., will share highlights of the association's year and ongoing priorities.
Howard will also pass the president's gavel to the incoming 2015 president, Mary Cramer, Cramer’s Home Furnishings in Ellensburg, Wash. Cramer will share his vision and goals for the coming year.
During the meeting, Howard Haimsohn, Lawrance Contemporary of San Diego, Calif., will be honored as he steps down from the board. Haimsohn was instrumental in working on the merger of the three associations that became the NAHFA in 2013 and has served the retail associations for more than 30 years in many capacities, including president of the former NHFA and WHFA.
“Howard’s exceptional leadership has influenced the progress of NAHFA,” said Sharron Bradley, NAHFA CEO. “It’s been a pleasure and an honor to work with Howard over the last 13 years. We’re grateful for his service to the Association and to the industry.”
Attendees are invited to stay to hear Jerry Epperson’s state of the industry presentation directly following.
