Bedding vendor Bedgear will make its High Point debut with a space in first floor of Plaza Suites in High Point; and Five Star Mattress renewed a long-term lease for 3,500 square feet of space in the Main Wing of the IHFC.
Bedgear offers performance bedding, the company produces pillows, pillow protectors, mattress protectors and mattress encasements that use fabric technologies similar to those in athletic wear.
"We know that High Point provides quality time for visits from upper management of retail furniture companies,” said Bedgear CEO Eugene Alletto. “With the bedding industry consolidating through roll-ups, the home furnishings channel needs a way to differentiate itself. Our products provide that point of difference."
In addition to bedgear, Five Star Mattress renewed its long-term lease. With 23 factories across the United States, Five Star manufactures value-priced coil and memory foam mattresses.
“Bedding category growth at this level is unprecedented at High Point Market,” said Julie Messner, vice president of home furnishings leasing for International Market Centers. “The addition of bedgear and the renewal of Five Star show that manufacturers understand the value that High Point Market has for their business. In October, buyers will see a strong concentration of bedding companies and one of the widest selections of bedding product offerings we’ve seen.”
