Interior Design Professor has Passion for Décor

Blues and greens, browns and reds — what does it all mean, and where does it go? If you are in the dark about how to liven up your home, Jan Britt says, “I can help you.”
Britt is a professional interior decorator, stager and window treatment specialist, and has been in this business since 1993. She has shared her love and expertise of the field with students at KSU’s College of Continuing and Professional Education for the past 17 years. She was asked to teach interior decorating while working at Decorating Mart in Marietta, Ga.
“They were looking for something different in home décor, and I was recommended,” Britt said. The first course she wrote was for no-sew window treatments. Since then, Britt has created and taught Interior Decorating for the Homeowner, Intermediate Interior Design and Decorating for the Holidays.
Having a professionally styled home doesn’t have to break the bank.
“I like to help people to do things themselves and save money,” Britt said.
