Polish Designers Plan South American Exhibit

The sixth edition of the exhibition "The Spirit of Poland" will take place between this summer during DW! São Paulo Design Weekend.

The event, held Aug. 14-17, is hosted by a group of Polish designers. The exhibition will also bee shown in Brazil throughout November 2014.

The exhibition seeks to promote Polish design in other countries and is the first of a series of events this year. As a result of collaboration with MADE, which is the forum for the promotion of Brazilian design, it will present products from more than a dozen Polish brands.

Among the exhibitors, there are brands that focus their business model on research and development, as Zieta Prozessdesign, CSTM and Nobilekiteboarding. The second group consists of design studios that have developed their own brand, as the jewels of Takk and Pet Petits. Another group is the combination of design and production studios, which develops products signed by the brand, as Kosmos Project, Malafor and Tabanda. Finally, there are lighting companies, such as Kafti.

"It is an honor to bring this event once again to Brazil, a multicultural and fabulous country, which is increasingly becoming important in the design world," said Weronika Rochacka, one of the organizers.

In this year’s edition, the context of the chosen products for the exhibition is the story of individual brands, which are then presented in an attractive way, encouraging the viewer to learn more about the objects themselves, as well as the process of its development. An additional element, emphasizing the concept of the exhibition, will be a fragrance specially designed for this event.
