Charles Vernon Retiring from Gloster

Gloster Furniture CEO Charles Vernon will retire at the end of this month after 22 years of service at the high-end outdoor furniture vendor.
"Back in 1993, when Charles joined us, Gloster was a small English company known as a manufacturer of traditional teak garden furniture," said Angelo van Tol, chairman of Gloster Furniture Holding AG. "Since then Charles has worked hard, together with his colleagues, to evolve and grow the Gloster brand, so that today it has become one of the worldwide premium outdoor living brands."
In addition to travel, Vernon will spend more time involved in Right to Dream, his son's soccer academy in Ghana, where he is Chairman, and with the City of London livery company, the Furniture Makers, where as a past master he is chairman of the training and education initiatives of the charity.
