FXI Acquires SoCal Manufacturing Site

Foam products producer FXI has purchased a 250,000-square-foot, 25-acre manufacturing facility located in Orange, Calif., that it had leased since the company’s formation in 2009.
The transaction assures customers, employees and the broader community of the FXI's commitment to manufacturing in Southern California for many years to come.
“Our Orange facility is critical to supporting our customers in Southern California and the Western part of the United States and we are extremely pleased to complete this purchase,” said FXI president and chief executive officer John Cowles. "This demonstrates our commitment to our local customers as well as our national customers that require a robust manufacturing footprint."
The Orange facility uses patented, environment-friendly variable pressure foaming (VPFSM) technology, resulting in virtually zero emissions. VPFSM technology also enables FXI to offer the broadest of array of enhanced performance, flexible polyurethane foam solutions.
Terms of the transaction were not released. FXI purchased the facility from an affiliate of Sares-Regis Group.
