Vegas Market Expands Lifestyle Resources

Las Vegas Furniture Market has another round of lifestyle resource expansions, fueled by the addition of major new multi-line showrooms and the sold-out temporary micro showrooms, for the July 27-31 Summer Market.

As part of this overall lifestyle growth, the Market also is experiencing a notable increase in its number of juvenile resources, through key category expansions and additions throughout the Market.

“We’re successfully building the lifestyle category at Las Vegas Market and the summer edition will feature a record 250 lifestyle resources in both permanent showrooms and in temporary exhibits,” said Dorothy Belshaw, president of Gift & Home Décor, International Market Centers. “This growth is a cornerstone in our strategy to position Las Vegas Market as the leading furniture, home decor and gift destination in the western United States.”

The number of lifestyle lines on C10 is increasing by 50 percent this summer, with the addition of six new tenants. The two newest additions are Grace by Catherine Sullivan, with a 1,760-square-foot showroom showcasing more than 20 lifestyle lines including Aquiesse, Caswell Massey, Gianna Rose Atelier, Lindsay Phillips, the Giving keys, The HomePort Collections and Toss Designs; and Margot Elena, in a 3,000-square-foot showroom spotlighting leading personal care brands Library of Flowers, Lollia Life, Love and Toast and Tokyomilk.

Four previously-announced newcomers to debut on C10 this summer include K. Hall Studio, Mary Lake-Thompson, Aesthetic Movement, showing more than 10 lines, including Fishs Eddy, Juniper Ridge, Set Editions and Seletti; and Keena, highlighting more than 40 design-driven lines, including Chilewich, Kikkerland, IMM, Menu, Swell, Wild & Wolf and Umbra Overall.

Beyond permanent showrooms, temporary exhibits presented in “micro showrooms” on C10 are sold-out for the Summer Market, with 18 confirmed exhibitors: Be Home; Dayna Decker Home; D.L. & Co.; French Studio Imports; Glenda Gies; Heritage Lace; Hot Skwash; Jax + Jack; Kiss That Frog; Modern Candle, Nu Op; Objects with Purpose; Pisu Bazaar; Prestige Identity; Rustico Leather; Seda France; Stewart Stand; and Wendell August.

“Beyond lifestyle expansion in general, we are witnessing growth specifically in the juvenile category," Belshaw said. "For the summer Las Vegas Market, we expect to present a record 105 juvenile resources.”

A contributor to this category growth is the July 2014 debut on C10 of the first PLUSH Pavilion, which is expected to feature more than 10 innovative juvenile resources such as Dolphine Organics, Ecobibi, KidKusion Inc, Moby Wrap and Pack My Ride.

In addition to the concentration of juvenile resources on C10, there is an increasing infusion of new and expanding juvenile products throughout Las Vegas Market. This summer's highlights include Toyology’s expansion, which is more than doubling its size to accommodate its 50-plus lines, including Areaware, Mattel/Fisher Price and Schylling.

In addition to juvenile resources in Building C, Buildings A and B will also feature a variety of home furnishings and décor manufacturers offering juvenile lines and collections, including Ace Bayou, Acme, Atlantic Furniture, Big Tree/Big Sleep, Boom Chair, California Kids, Comfort Research, Kidz World, Legare, Powell, Standard and many more.

In connection with the growing numbers of gift, home décor and lifestyle resources in Building C, Las Vegas Market is moving its 4th annual Gift for Life charity event to C10. The “Up on 10” fundraiser, which will be held on Monday, July 28, will include a “Las Vegas experience” silent auction featuring a variety of Vegas-themed items that  can be redeemed during the Winter 2015 Market. Items will include hotel stays, restaurant vouchers, VIP services at top nightclubs, a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon, tickets on the High Roller, the new Las Vegas observation wheel, horseback riding or rock climbing lessons in Red Rock Canyon, spa packages and many more. Tickets for the benefit cost $25, and may be purchased online here, or at designated kiosks onsite during Las Vegas Market.
