All the assets of upholstery producer Southwood Furniture are being sold through an auction that runs through Monday, June 23.
The auction includes the 80,000-square-foot factory on about 10 acres in the Hickory, N.C., area. Also included in the sale are patterns, parts, equipment, supplies, material, leather, trucks and intellectual property.
The facility is located at 2860 Nathan Street in Newton, N.C.
The auction will be conducted as an online only auction with extended bidding for the personal property and the real estate. The personal property auction ends on June 16. The real estate will end on June 23rd at 4 p.m. and will have a live ending at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Hickory, N.C. The personal property will be sold regardless of price and the real estate will have a 24-hour conformation period after the end.
According to a release from Iron Horse Auction, the company is selling because the owner has other interests. The telephone at Southwood Furniture's factory is not working.
