American Leather, Ultrasuede Host Interior Design Workshop

Interior designers can earn credit for participating in a High Point Market event co-sponsored by American Leather and Ultrasuede

The V.I.P. designer event set for Mon., April 7, begins with a reception and showroom tours at 5:30 p.m. in the upholstery manufacturer’s showroom, located on the 5th floor of the Showplace building.

The hour-long presentation, entitled “Boost Your Color I.Q.: Design Intelligence for Client Projects,” begins at 6:30 p.m., featuring Sally Augustin, Ph.D., principal, Design With Science.

Augustin draws on research-based findings as well as her experience working with companies in a variety of industries to discuss the role colors play in designed environments, and how designers can use color to influence behavior or to achieve desired effects for their clients.

American Leather hosts a V.I.P. reception for designers at the biannual furniture trade show in High Point. This is the company’s first co-branded event for designers with high-performance fabric producer Ultrasuede, which helped to facilitate the inaugural offering of an accredited presentation.

Designers are encouraged to arrive in advance of the presentation start time, to take advantage of guided showroom tours and networking opportunities. The reception includes complimentary food and beverages.

Accreditation for the presentation awarded by the IDCEC equates to .1 CEU credit for participants. Reservations are required for the limited seating event and can be made via e-mail
