Chairs Grow on Trees

An exhibition at the N.C. Museum of Art showcased a number of chairs "growing" from trees.
Just in case anyone needs further proof that environmental pollution can cause the weirdest of things to spring into being, here is a picture showing chairs growing on trees in North Carolina.
Researchers are now busy investigating the phenomenon, and say that it might be only a matter of time until these trees also sprout tables and nightstands.
Once this happens, odds are forest elves will also make an appearance in the region and claim the furniture as their own.
Joking aside, it must be said that the chairs pictured above did not end up in trees of their own accord.
On the contrary, they were put there by American artist Tom Shields as part of an exhibition dubbed 0 to 60: The Experience of Time through Contemporary Art.
