La-Z-Boy Offers Mixed Containers for Case Goods

La-Z-Boy Incorporated’s Casegoods Group has launched a consolidated warehouse program for mixed containers featuring 30 collections from its American Drew, Kincaid Furniture Co. and Lea Furniture brands.

“Our new container program gives dealers the ability to mix collections and order smaller quantities while still enjoying the benefits of buying via direct container,” said Jack Richardson, senior vice president of sales and marketing for La-Z-Boy Casegoods. “La-Z-Boy’s ability to support the program’s inventory of American Drew, Kincaid and Lea furniture allows us to bring a more competitive product assortment to our customers.”

The company provides three ways to participate in its direct container program. Dealers can place a full direct container order for one product, a full mixed direct container order for several products or a partial container order. The program will allow dealers to reduce their inventory commitment, as they will be able to purchase as little as a 300-cube minimum to participate in the program. In addition, containers can have a mix of American Drew, Kincaid and Lea products. The direct container program reduces dealers’ landed costs.

“We’re very excited about helping our partners find more efficient, cost-effective ways to do business,” Richardson said. “Today’s dealers want to customize their buying experience, and our direct container program is a great example of how the furniture business can be tailored to fit everyone’s needs.”

Shipments for the program will begin later this month.
