Rug and home accessories vendor Surya will host "arbiter of style" Lotta Jansdotter for an interactive session in its showroom during the upcoming Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market.
On Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2-3 p.m., Jansdotter will share her design inspirations, discuss her process and demonstrate the techniques she employs to bring her sophisticated, eye-catching designs to life. The session will be followed by a Q&A session and informal meet and greet with the designer.
Earning international acclaim for her free-flowing and playful patterns, Jansdotter blends organic forms and motifs with simple Scandinavian influenced style to create products that are handmade yet distinctly modern. Her collections for Surya include a selection of hand tufted and flat weave wool rugs, along with pillows and poufs—all of which feature her signature hand-drawn designs.
“With a focus on evoking harmony and unity through pattern, Lotta’s design aesthetic reflects a deep-rooted appreciation for the natural beauty that surrounds us,” said Satya Tiwari, president of Surya, Calhoun, Ga. “Her relaxed, understated and timeless designs bring a welcome sense of balance to today’s modern urban landscapes.”
Market attendees at the Surya showroom can register here to win an exclusive four-day/three-night Hawaiian getaway.
