Las Vegas Furniture Market reported that more than 325 gift, home décor and furniture suppliers, including nearly 90 new-to-market exhibitors, will showcase new products in temporary space in Buildings B and C at the Jan. 26-30 winter show.
The temporary exhibits represent a 105,000 square feet of the nearly 5 million square feet of space within the three buildings that comprise the Las Vegas Market.
"The realignment of temporary space in Buildings B and C at the Winter 2014 Las Vegas Market is attracting a substantial influx of new exhibitors, bringing not only a wide diversity of merchandise to the industry but also a heightened level of excitement," said Dorothy Belshaw, president of Gift & Home Décor, International Market Centers(imcenters.com). "Our gift and home décor temporary exhibit space in Building C is tracking to achieve 20 percent growth over last market's temporary presentation. This expansion signals the industry's support for the market and further advances our strategic plan to position Las Vegas Market as the leading market in the western U.S. for furniture, home décor and giftware."
To date, temporary exhibits in Building C include 245 companies, including 84 first-time exhibitors and 161 returning exhibitors, in more than 70,000-square-feet of temporary space on three floors, c-ONE, C5 and C11. An additional 40 companies are expected to commit in the weeks leading up to market. Among Building C highlights are the debut of three new themed product category presentations: VERANDA, highlighting outdoor lifestyle merchandise on C5; GALLERY spotlighting better home textiles resources on C5; and FASHION, the first dedicated exhibition area for fashion merchandise, personal care and wellness products and fashion accessories on C11.
Located on the second floor of Building B, the 35,000-square foot Home Furnishings Temporary Exhibits are 99 percent full and expected to be completely sold out for the January Market. More than 80 exhibitors--including newcomers Fusion Designs, Reclaimed Rustic Woodworks, SleepAngel and the Authentic Home Furnishings Association pavilion featuring more than half a dozen exhibitors plus an expanded 1,800 square foot exhibit featuring "best booth" favorites American West by Paladin Industries, Karen Kreek Camp Design Furniture, Silverado Home, Southwest Looms, Tables and More--will showcase a wide selection of home furnishings including furniture, upholstery, motion, bedding, juvenile, accessories and décor.
"Our home furnishings temporary exhibits are a wonderful representation of the depth and breadth of selection at Las Vegas Market," said Craig Staack, vice president of business development-Las Vegas. "Home furnishings-seeking attendees can find everything they are looking for on B2."
New on c-ONE, an upscale cross-category presentation of gift, home décor and furniture resources in both permanent showrooms and temporary exhibit space, are Elizabeth Lucas Company, a wholesale art company specializing in limited-edition mixed media prints; and Interior Illusions, a purveyor of gift and decorative accessories making their wholesale debut. These new c-ONE exhibitors join a diverse assortment of new-to-market design-forward lines, including Allan Copley Designs, Brodarick Design, FermobUSA, SkLO, Tronk Design and Trowbridge Gallery.
The success of home décor showroom leasing on floors C3 and C4 has led to an increase in demand for synergistic temporary exhibition space on floor C5. Within the new VERANDA category, leading exhibitors include Laura Lee Designs, Pelican Reef, Skyline Designs, Theresa Seidel Designs and Tony Wais Design; and within the new GALLERY collection, notable resources include Amity Home, Angelica Barcelona, Caitlin Wilson Textiles, Opal At Home, Softline Home Fashions and Tessera. Other home-related temporary categories on C5 include HOME, TEXTILES and STYLE.
As gift and lifestyle showrooms reach record density levels, there also has been a heightened demand for additional lifestyle-related temporary exhibit space on C11. The launch of the new FASHION category will feature leading lifestyle suppliers, such as Donna Sharp Inc., Ergo Candle, Eyebobs and Sweet Bubbles. Other lifestyle-related temporary exhibit categories on C11 are: GIFT, GLOBAL, GOURMET, MADE, TREND and VINTAGE.
