Tunica Furniture Market Set for January
December 16,
2013 by in Las Vegas, Market, Tupelo
The organizers of the inaugural Tunica Furniture Market to be held next month in Tunica, Miss. say there are about 40 vendors planning to showcase their wares.
Set for Jan. 8-9, the market will precede the Las Vegas Market and the Tupelo Furniture Market.
The inaugural Tunica Furniture Market in January will be held in January and its organizer says about 40 companies are expected to participate.
"Despite a lot of doubts and people calling me crazy, the Tunica Furniture Market is happening," organizer Scott Morton told the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal (http://bit.ly/1dwBMm6d ).
Morton proposed earlier this year the hosting of a furniture market ahead of the lucrative tax season. He said idea is that many smaller retailers and manufacturers want to have merchandise in stores during the peak of tax return season.
The market will be held Jan. 8-9 at several locations in Tunica. Harrah's is the primary host site, but other exhibition space is available at Gold Strike Casino, Sam's Town, Hollywood Casino and the Tunica Arena.
