The Fifth Annual Share the Warmth Blanket Drive collected more than 3,000 blankets, sheets, comforters, pillows and towels for the Family Place shelter in Dallas.
The drive came to a close with a donation of bedding and bath linens valued at more than $20,000 from Dallas-based Peacock Alley, which specializes in high-end sheets and bedding products.
The drive is spearheaded by the Sleep Experts chain, a third-generation mattress retailer with 33 locations in the Dallas area that received donations from customers.
"Through their generosity and the amazing donation from Peacock Alley, we are able to provide this simple but essential gift of warmth to thousands of families in crisis," said Christine Cook, president, Sleep Experts.
The Family Place's Executive Director Paige Flink said, "We are so grateful to Sleep Experts, Peacock Alley and the people of Dallas who came out to 'share the warmth' this year."
