Max Furniture Moves to Sage Software Platform

By Home Furnishings Business in Furniture Retailing on October 2008 Max Furniture, a Dallas, Texas-based Internet retailer of home furnishings, announced Wednesday it will use a new software platform for online shopping, the Sage MAS 200 system.

The new system offers solutions such as core accounting, business intelligence tools, customer relationship management, e-commerce, human resources, payroll and distribution. This will help Max Furniture improve accuracy, reduce shipping time and lower expenses allowing the Company to pass further savings on to its customers.

Max Furniture’s growth over the past 10 years created a need to enhance and grow the infrastructure. Now the company will use an all-in-one solution enabling Max to streamline its warehouse and combine multi-warehousing into a centralized warehouse management system. The retailer anticipates improved customer service since the new Sage platform should improve accuracy and ship time.

Max Furniture has an 80,000-square-foot facility in Dallas, and designs and imports many of its products. Max Furniture has been a member of the Inc 5000 two years in a row and was ranked by INC Magazine as the 21st Fastest Growing Consumer Products Company in the U.S. and the 22nd Fastest Growing Company in any industry in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metropolitan area.
