Four Dallas-Area Broyhill Stores Close

By Home Furnishings Business in Furniture Retailing on October 2008 Four Dallas, Texas-area Broyhill Home Collections stores owned by Charles Prenzi Jr. closed last week and are seeking to liquidate under Chapter 7 bankruptcy, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported Thursday.

An attorney for the stores said they closed after Broyhill stopped shipping goods on credit because of Prenzi’s debt level.

All valid sales to consumers will likely be honored John Hastings, spokesman for Broyhill parent company Furniture Brands International, told the paper.

Prenzi owned Broyhill stores in Arlington, North Richland Hills, Plano and Lewisville, Texas, and a distribution center in Addison.
