Lane Names Whitlock Operations VP

By Home Furnishings Business in Leather Upholstery on October 2008 Lane Home Furnishings, Tupelo, Miss., has appointed Rodney Whitlock vice president of operations.

Whitlock, who has been with Lane since 1993, had been manager of the company’s Saltillo factory. He succeeds Jackie Hooker, who is retiring at the end of the year. Whitlock will be responsible for manufacturing, product development, engineering, supply chain, procurement, transportation and dealer services.

A subsidiary of Furniture Brands International, Lane is the world’s largest manufacturer of motion furniture and second-largest recliner maker.
