Brad Pitt Spends Plenty on Furniture

By Home Furnishings Business in on June 2008 Movie star Brad Pitt bought around a half-million dollars in furniture at a Swiss design exhibition this week, according to several reports. Purchases at Design Miami/Basel included a $293,000 table, bronze chairs and a rug in aluminum thread, and he’s thinking about a $300,000 sofa.

In a recent Vanity Fair article, Pitt’s partner, Angelina Jolie, said his artful side was what first appealed to her.

“I don’t see him as an actor,” she told the magazine. “I see him very much as a dad, as somebody who loves travel and architecture more than being in movies.”
