North Carolina’s budget planners are considering slight cuts to state funding of the High Point Furniture Market, according to a report in Friday’s
News & Record (Greensboro, N.C.).
Budget writers are trimming across the board to accommodate priority items such as mental health and transportation.
The proposal would trim marketing for the event by 1 percent from $875,000, instead of expanding that figure by $2.6 million, according to the report.
