Twin-Star Names Gaffey to New Position

By Home Furnishings Business in on May 2008 Jim Gaffey has been named senior vice president of business development for Twin-Star International.

Prior to joining the company, Gaffey was merchandise vice president for furniture and accents at retailer Fortunoff. Prior to his 19 years with the New York retailer, Gaffey was with Bloomingdales in its furniture division.

In his new position, Gaffey is responsible for developing new business opportunities including the introduction of a line of media consoles under the Tresanti name. He is also responsible for certain existing and new accounts.

“We are excited to have an experienced merchant like Jim join our growing team as we continue to expand our business in existing product categories as well as launch new product categories,” said Mark Asofsky, senior vice president and founder of Twin-Star.
