Lack of Water Cited in S.C. Furniture Fire Last Year

By Home Furnishings Business in on May 2008 A federal report on a deadly furniture store fire in Charleston, S.C., last year said firefighters responding to the blaze didn’t have enough water, according to Associated Press reports.

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health released a draft report late Thursday that said crews had too few hoses and not enough water volume. Nine firefighters were killed in the fire June 18 at Sofa Super Store.
