Ashley Store to Close in Southern Indiana

By Home Furnishings Business in Furniture Retailing on May 2008 Ashley Furniture retail licensee KHF Holdings will close its Clarksville, Ind., store, according to a report from Business First of Louisville (Ky.).

The lease had expired on the store, which had been open for a year.

KHF president Mike McCord said KHF plans to build a full-scale store in southern Indiana in the future.

“A southern Indiana presence will continue to be a part of our retail plan for growth,” he said in a release. “We’ll wait for the right real estate opportunity to give our southern Indiana customers the full Ashley Furniture HomeStore experience.”

KHF will continue to operate Ashley Furniture HomeStores at 11521 Bluegrass Parkway in Jeffersontown, Ky., and 7375 Jefferson Boulevard, off the Outer Loop in South Louisville, Ky.

Customers who ordered furniture at the Clarksville location will have those orders filled by the Jeffersontown store, according to KHF.
