Lexington Names Trump Home Display Winners

By Home Furnishings Business in Display on May 2008 Lexington Home Brands named five winners of the company’s Trump Home National Display Contest, which showcases lifestyle presentations of two collections that were introduced by Trump Home and Lexington last year.

Contest winners include Louis Shanks in Austin, Texas; Baer’s Furniture in Pompano Beach, Fla.; DeBoer’s in Toronto; Furnitureland South in High Point, N.C.; and Hurwitz-Mintz in Metairie, La. Officials said the winners were chosen from among hundreds of entries from stores carrying the Trump Home collections.

“The winning retailers truly captured the Trump Home lifestyle of affordable luxury,” said Phil Haney, president and CEO. “Each dealer defined its own look within the brand, showcasing unique displays of Central Park and Westchester with luxury and flair. We were very impressed by the caliber of the entries overall, but the winning displays were just incredible.”

The winners will receive a three-night stay at the new Trump International Hotel and Tower in Las Vegas for the upcoming July Market, and will have the opportunity to meet Donald Trump. At the Las Vegas Market, Lexington will unveil its newest Trump Home collection, Mar-a-Lago, in the company’s permanent showroom at the World Market Center, Building C Space 1100.

The retail displays were judged on creativity, visual appeal and brand translation. The judging panel included Lexington’s Director of Interior Design Linda King, The Trump Organization’s Vice President of Global Licensing Sara Nemerov, and a committee of judges from within both companies.
