Miskelly, Television Station Team for ‘Season of Giving’

By Home Furnishings Business in Furniture Retailing on November 2007 Miskelly Furniture, Jackson, Miss., and WLBT-TV have kicked off their annual “Season of Giving” campaign with the delivery of new furniture to someone in need, the station reported today.

Melvia Kincy, a 90-year-old Jackson resident received a living room set from the retailer. Kincy said she used to have to sit outside when her friends from church came to visit. Now she has a new couch, love seat, and tables.

“It means a lot. It’s beautiful. Can’t nobody do this, but a child of God,” Kincy said.

Miskelly will continue delivering furniture to families in need for the next three weeks. This Friday is the deadline to nominate someone.

“You always get blessed more giving than receiving. We’re so happy for Ms. Kincy. We hope she enjoys this for many years, enhance her life, enhance her holiday,” said Miskelly Furniture President Chip Miskelly.
