Tietex Interiors has realigned its sales and marketing teams along primary market segments.
As part of the realignment, Craig Tribble and Nick Chmil have been named business development managers and will work with the company’s residential furniture manufacturers and jobbers.
Mike Durham, president of Tietex Interiors, said the company has committed to a fundamental shift in the way it does business. “This change is about serving customers more effectively,” he said. “As world markets shrink, we see an absolute necessity to be more knowledgeable about every customer, more strategic in our thinking and more timely in our performance.
Tribble is responsible for Tietex’s partnerships with residential furniture manufacturers. For more than 25 years, he represented leading fabric producers and was owner of his own sales agency.
Chmil oversees the jobber and retail markets sectors. For the past 20 years, he represented several of the industry’s leading fabric mills; and during the past seven years, intensified his efforts with decorative jobbers.
According to Durham, both will have broad responsibilities for conceptual and strategic planning, as well as for organizing and supervising field sales efforts.
“And, they personally will concentrate on target customers, providing product development feedback, helping develop merchandising tools and generally cultivating our customer knowledge base,” Durham said.
The company’s repositioning dovetails with planned capital investments by parent Tietex International, Ltd. “Future investments are designed to support our long-term growth expectations, and to increase our focus and support of the domestic residential and contract upholstery markets,” Durham said.
