J.D. Garber Completes Store Network

By Home Furnishings Business in Furniture Retailing on August 2007 Philadelphia-based J.D. Garber Furniture, which operates 13 Lane and D&D Home Furnishings stores, has completed the installation of a new private wide area network that provides voice and data networks in a single converged IP infrastructure. The technology was provided by XO Communications, Reston, Va., which announced the project’s completion Monday.

“We needed a converged voice and data network that can quickly and securely support our migration to voice over IP and the transmission of essential customer point-of-sale information,” said Micah Bosico, director of technology, J.D. Garber Furniture. “We’re confident that the solution provided by XO will provide us with a flexible and reliable network to help us operate more efficiently and improve our service to customers.”
