CEO Expands Duties At John Thomas Furniture

By Home Furnishings Business in Casual Dining on August 2007 High Point-based John Thomas Furniture announced Monday that Davis Beaston has stepped down as president of the mid-priced dining company to pursue other interests. CEO Jorge Mata will lead John Thomas, which is a division of Whitewood Industries.

Mata said John Thomas has seen its annual sales consistently increase and the brand is positioned for growth. Beaston joined the company as vice president of sales in 2000 and was named president in 2006.
