Hall of Fame Extends Nomination Deadline

By Home Furnishings Business in on July 2007 The American Furniture Hall of Fame Foundation Inc., High Point, announced Tuesday it has extended the nomination deadline for new inductions to August 1. Only members of the organization are eligible to nominate, second and vote.

To make a nomination, members should submit a biography (500 words or less) of the nominee, along with a completed nomination form, and a black and white or color photo of the candidate. Nominations submitted without photography will be accepted, however, photography is necessary before moving forward with the induction process.

All nominations must be seconded in writing by another AFHF member. Candidates may be nominated and elected posthumously. There is a one-time nomination fee of $500 to cover photography and video production costs. There is no charge for re-nomination from previous years. The voting period begins August 20 and ends Sept. 5.
