Get into Green at the Las Vegas Market

Home Furnishings Business is leaving a green imprint on Las Vegas this summer.
We’re co-sponsoring a panel discussion Tuesday, July 31 at 3 p.m. during the Las Vegas Market in Room 104 at the Sands Convention Center. Other sponsors of the event are Foamex, Sustainable Furniture Council and World Market Center.
Panelists include Mike Italiano, president and chief executive officer of the U.S. Green Building Council; Amy Chender from ABC Carpet & Home; and Steve Freeman from Room & Board.
Topics to be covered include greenwashing, how sustainable products relate to climate change, deforestation, illegal logging and forest conversion. RSVP to Margaret Casey at mcasey@napco.com if you plan to attend.
In addition to the discussion, the SFC, World Market Center and
Home Furnishings Business are hosting a mini-seminar—Sustainability 101—Wednesday, Aug. 1 at 10 a.m. in the World View Room in Building B of the World Market Center.
Italiano will discuss sustainable product labels, identifying friendly products and understanding the benefits of sustainable products.
