Kathy Ireland to Keynote Market Prayer Breakfast

By Home Furnishings Business in Community/Charitable Support on March 16, 2010

Kathy Ireland, chief executive officer and chief designer of Kathy Ireland Worldwide, will share experiences from her recent relief work in Haiti as part of her keynote message at the 16th Annual Furniture Fellowship Prayer Breakfast on Saturday morning, April 17.

Ireland's recent travels include visits to Israel and earthquake-ravaged Haiti.

"It is an honor and privilege to be of service whenever possible," she said. During the breakfast, Ireland will speak about her experience in both countries and the impact that faith has on all her endeavors. The breakfast will run from 7 to 8 a.m. in the Ballroom of the International Home Furnishings Center located on the eleventh floor of the Green Wing.

With $1.5 billion in annual revenues, design and marketing firm KIWW was recently named as the "Top Woman Owned Business in America" by DiversityBusiness.com. KIWW is currently involved with the Kathy Ireland Home collection from Vaughan Furniture and also designs and markets licensed products including flooring, rugs, lighting, decorative accessories, window coverings and apparel.

Leading in music and worship at the breakfast will be the Webb Family, comprised of Rick and Phyliss Webb and their children Parker, 23 and Hannah, 19. As inspirational gospel music singers, The Webb family regularly appears on the TV and radio broadcast, "Day of Discovery," has made guest appearances during the National Presidential Prayer Breakfast and the international "Wesleyan Hour" radio broadcast, as well as leading worship for numerous evangelistic events.

The $25 admission cost includes breakfast. In addition to covering expenses, these funds are directed towards charities such as Habitat for Humanity and High Point University scholarships. In addition, Ireland plans to donate her honorarium to the Alliance of Christian Education.
