Broyhill Names Lavercombe VP Sales

By Home Furnishings Business in Case Goods on June 2007 Randy Lavercombe has been named vice president of sales for Broyhill Furniture Inds.

Prior to joining Broyhill, Lavercombe was most recently with Ashley Furniture Inds. where he was a sales representative in the Northeast Texas territory. Prior to his time at Ashley, Lavercombe spent 18 years with La-Z-Boy where he managed territories in the Baltimore/Washington, D.C., and Dallas/Ft. Worth areas. He has also held a variety of sales positions with Schnadig Corp., Rowe Furniture and Stratford Co.

In his new position, Lavercombe will report to the executive vice president of sales and merchandising, a post that is currently empty. Lavercombe is responsible for leading the company’s more than 95 sales representatives in six regions across the U.S. and Canada. New sales initiatives will include placing a greater focus on generating feedback from retailers and consumers, building relationships, offering greater service and doubling Broyhill’s sales in five years.

“Randy has had one of the most prolific sales careers in our industry,” said Jeff Cook, Broyhill president. “His character is beyond reproach, and he knows how to build both relationships and businesses. Randy is exactly the kind of dynamic leader we need to achieve our aggressive growth strategy.”

Lavercombe will be relocating to North Carolina with his wife and two children.
