Green Cradle Organic Home, Mattress and Baby Holds Re-Opening Celebration

Green Cradle Organic Home, Mattress and Baby recently held a grand re-opening celebration party at its renovated Sherman Oaks, California store.

Green Cradle is a retailer devoted exclusively to offering their clientele a selection of eco-friendly and all natural lifestyle and home products. The store features Organicpedic by OMI, a leading U.S. manufacturer of organic mattresses, pillows and accessories.

"Leading a healthy lifestyle has quickly surpassed the trend stage and reached a new level of mainstream acceptance, as people now view wholesome organic products as the standard for a good living," said Green Cradle Owner Edward Olshansky. "Having an expanded area to showcase the latest innovations to hit the eco-friendly market is something to celebrate. Consumer response has been tremendous."

Guests at the event enjoyed live music, catered food, a hand massage station, and an organic cake with a tree, meadow and green cradle (all made from organic ingredients).

The event also featured a silent auction fundraiser for the national non-profit, Healthy Child Healthy World, an organization is dedicated to protecting young children from harmful exposure to toxic chemicals by educating and empowering parents to create greener, non-toxic environments.

OMI's Northern California production facility is the first large-scale, Global Organic Textile Standard certified organic mattress factory in the North America, the company said.

Green Cradle, which only sells environmentally-friendly goods, requires all items in the store not only have a claim of being organic and all natural, but actually contain no harmful chemicals, no synthetic preservatives, no harmful dyes, no hidden plastics, no toxic fire retardants, and no formaldehyde-leaching pressed woods.
