Furniture Brands International, St. Louis, announced the appointment of Michael McBreen as vice president of supply chain and logistics. McBreen has been director of global apparel operations and strategic planning for Nike since 2004 and has been with the company since 2000.
In a statement, Chairman and CEO Mickey Holliman said, “Our business model poses many supply chain and logistic challenges. The opportunity to greatly reduce our costs is significant, and, at the same time, we must continue to fulfill ever increasing consumer expectations of a timely and reliable delivery. We expect Mike (McBreen) to have a tremendous impact on our business.”
McBreen replaces Joseph McClelland, who left FBI by mutual agreement, according to the company’s announcement Tuesday.
