Norwalk Names Logistics Director

By Home Furnishings Business in Upholstery on October 2006 Joyce Dinehart has been named director of global sourcing, purchasing and logistics of Norwalk Furniture. The position is part of the company’s leadership team.

Dinehart is responsible for driving the growth and evolution of Norwalk’s total supply chain efforts. She oversees all activities associated with sourcing, procurement, purchasing, customs brokerage and compliance, sourcing quality and inbound logistics for all raw materials and finished products

“Joyce’s experience will be invaluable as we work to drive our blended strategy of custom manufacturing supplemented with the global sourcing of case and finished goods and accessories to transform the business for the future and support our retail strategy,” said Rick McKirahan, president.

Prior to joining Norwalk, Dinehart was corporate logistics manager for North America at Bekaert Corp., a global supplier of product with business units in 80 countries. Dinehart organized and managed Bekaert’s global supply chain and customs compliance program for its North American operation.
