Hooker Endorses Customer-Centric Sales Training Program

Hooker Furniture announced its endorsement of The Kaleidoscope Partnership, a training program that teaches customer-focused, collaborative and relationship-building selling skills to retail salespeople, as a recommended resource for its retailers.
Headed by Leslie Carothers, a 24-year veteran of the retail sales and design industries, The Kaleidoscope Partnership specializes in sales training and one-on-one coaching based on “whole room” collaborative selling techniques using sketching and room planning. The program helps consultants build relationships and enables the consumer to articulate their vision, with a goal of increasing average sales tickets and improving close ratios, margins and customer loyalty.
“While our sales representatives have and will continue to be responsible for product-based sales training, Leslie’s program can help our retail partners provide a superior shopping experience for their consumers that is more educational, inspirational and engaging,” said Ray Harm, senior vice president of sales for Hooker. “We believe this can result in a win-win-win for our retail partners, Hooker and our mutual consumer, who will be more satisfied and loyal if her shopping experience is emotionally rewarding and personalized.”
Carothers will address Hooker Furniture’s sales representative and management group during the upcoming High Point Market, and will be one of six panelists at an educational “SmartLiving Symposium” Hooker is providing its retailers during the market titled “Delivering a Breakthrough Customer Experience through Your Sales Consultants.”
