Nichols & Stone Leases Permanent High Point Showroom

By Home Furnishings Business in Markets on March 1, 2010

Nichols & Stone has signed a multi-year lease for 12,200 square feet of exhibition space at the Union Square Showrooms, Suite P102, located behind the Elm Street showroom of parent company Stickley Furniture.

"Nichols & Stone is a growing, popular brand," said Edward Audi, executive vice president. "This new facility will allow us to continue to introduce fresh products, while deepening our business relationships with dealers and designers seeking durable, beautifully made, solid-wood furniture at an attractive price."

Founded in 1857, Nichols & Stone is the oldest furniture-building company in the United States, producing mid-price styles with durable finishes on hard northern American birch and maple.

Nichols & Stone designs range from traditional to contemporary€”including its trademark dining furniture, Windsor chairs, Williamsburg bedroom sets, and the sleek forms in its Freedom Collection for dining and the new Departures Collection of occasional pieces.

In October 2009, Nichols & Stone also rolled out its first line of upholstery--a 90-piece collection built in a brand-new North Carolina facility--featuring Marshall Unit construction, 80 fabrics and 10 leathers.

"We have high expectations for our new upholstery," Audi said. "This additional space will allow our partners to see what we're so excited about."

The new Nichols & Stone showroom will ready for the April 2010 High Point Market.
