High Point Market Authority Announces Webinar Series

The High Point Market Authority is teaming with a variety of expert speakers to present a series of three educational webinars exclusively for High Point Market Exhibitors. Series topics range from international business opportunities to improving public relations savvy and connecting with interior designers.

The first webinar, set for Wednesday, March, 3,at 2 p.m. (EST) capitalizes on the High Point Market's International Buyer Program status. Aimed at Market exhibitors with an interest in learning more about the export process, the webcast--"Going Global: Navigating the Export Process in the Furniture Industry"--focuses on the ins and outs of exporting.

Speakers include Juanita Harthun, senior international trade specialist, Carolinas, U.S. Export Assistance Center; Nick Orsini, specialist from the U.S. Census Bureau; Kate Bishop, specialist from the Export/Import Bank, Washington, D.C. location; Douglas Bell, specialist from the Bureau of Industry and Security, and Jan Fields, specialist from the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America.

The second webinar, "Mastering the Art of Online Press Kits," is set for Thursday, March 4, at 2 p.m. (EST). During this presentation, the High Point Market Authority marketing team will cover the most effective techniques for increasing online exposure among buyers, media and Market attendees. The third webinar, "Doing Volume Business With Designers," is set for Wednesday, March 10,at 2 p.m. (EST) and features Mary Knackstedt, a frequent teacher of continuing education and business courses for professional organizations and universities including Harvard University's Graduate School of Design, as well as a practicing interior designer, acclaimed author and in-demand consultant on interior design practices. During this presentation--created specifically for manufacturers interested in doing more business with interior designers--Knackstedt will share insights drawn from interviews with many of the interior designers she has counseled to help manufacturers adapt to new ways of doing, and growing, business.
