Bob Ireland has been named vice president of residential global merchandising for tables, lamps and accessories, a new position for La-Z-Boy Residential.
Prior to his promotion, Ireland was national sales manager for La-Z-Boy Canada. In his new role, Ireland is responsible for all tables, lamps and accessories merchandising within the La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries store network.
Ireland reports to Greg White, vice president of merchandising and sales.
"Tables, lamps and accessories is a rapidly growing and changing aspect of our business," White said. "Bob has the merchandising and sourcing background as well as the business expertise to ensure that we are making the most of every opportunity in this segment."
Ireland joined La-Z-Boy in 2002 and brought table, lamps and accessories experience to La-Z-Boy from his previous role as executive vice president of the Powell Co. While there, Ireland managed the company's tables, lamps and accessories business. Prior to that, he held various positions with Palliser Furniture, including sales and marketing manager of the import division.
