Earnings Drop at IHFC

Net income at the International Home Furnishings Center fell 27 percent in fiscal 2009 to $10 million, compared with 2008, the High Point Enterprise reported Saturday.

The paper got those numbers from a Securities and Exchange Commission filing by Bassett Furniture Industries Inc., Bassett, Va., a 47 percent owner of High Point's largest showroom complex.

IHFC revenues fell 11 percent to $40.6 million in 2009.
