Keith Weisglass has been named director of national accounts at Hooker Furniture (NASDAQ-GS: HOFT), Martinsville, Va., where he will be responsible for growing sales with targeted national and regional key accounts.
He reports to Ray Harm, senior vice president-sales.
Since 1994, Weisglass has been a sales representative in the metropolitan New York market for Hooker Furniture. For a few years, he left to head his own company in merchandising and product development, but rejoined the New York territory four years ago.
"Keith brings a great blend of Hooker Furniture sales and product knowledge, merchandising experience, loyalty to the company and an understanding of our culture that makes him uniquely qualified for the position," Harm said. "We believe we can significantly grow our business with this important group of dealers through Keith's focused attention."
Weisglass will operate out of his home office in New York and will make regular trips to the corporate office in Martinsville. Keith's father, Richard, remains a representative in Metro New York, where he has been a rep for over 50 years. Richard's father, William, was the first Hooker sales rep in Metro New York in 1925.
