Classic Home Brands Closing in Louisville

By Home Furnishings Business in Retail Closings on May 16, 2013

Louisville, Ky., Thomasville furniture retailer Classic Home Brands is going out of business. A store closing sale managed by Deere Park Associates began May 8.

After serving the Louisville area as Thomasville Brand Furniture, the owners of this store made the decision to no longer sell Thomasville Furniture, and with the change of their name to Classic Home Brands to liquidate a $2 million-plus inventory and go out of business.

"The decision to close our business was difficult," Owner Dan Dougherty said. "Classic Home Brands is a part of the history in Louisville and we have loved being a part of so many families' lives. But we have decided to move on. Dougherty went on to assure current customers that Classic Home Brands will honor all existing orders and warranties."

Advertising and marketing for the event are being directed by Focus Media Company.
