Furniture Training Co. Gets Award

The Furniture Training Co.'s furniture and mattress training Web site had received a 2013 Best Educational Software (BESSIE) award for having the "best vocational training Web site." 

With nearly 700 furniture and mattress retailers use the self-paced, interactive site for training sales associates. Built-in training reports allow retailers to track each salesperson's progress toward industry certification.

The 19th annual BESSIE Awards, sponsored by the ComputEd Learning Center, recognizes the best in education and training software developed during the past year. Other recipients of this year's BESSIE Awards include organizations like Compass Learning Inc.,  ABC-Clio, and Discovery Education.

"It's a thrill to be honored with a BESSIE Award for our efforts in continually adding to and improving our collection of Internet-delivered furniture and mattress sales training," said Mark Lacy, president of The Furniture Training Co. "For many online training and educational software companies a BESSIE is our version of an 'Oscar' so at FTC we couldn't be happier with this recognition from the eLearning community."
